I picked up CoverGirl's Professional mascara a couple months ago, on sale for some ridiculous-couldn't-pass-up price. Since my Maybelline Colossal was running dry, I decided to open this one up to give it a go. The results were eh, as it didn't add as much volume to my lashes as I wanted. Granted, it's not a full on volumizing mascara, so technically not the mascara's fault! I've got long lashes to begin with and luckily, they're curly. But I'm not hairy and my hair is on the thinner side...I need something that will fatten my lashes up. This macara was not it. If you have medium to thick lashes and you're looking for something that will give you definition, a bit of length and colour, this will work great for you. The formula is good, as in it doesn't flake off, melt off during a regular day and the brush is pretty standard. Overall, the product does what it says it'll do! It's just not for me.
As I've posted before, I make my own eye shadows/mineral foundations. I don't think I've spent a dollar on eye shadow/powder since the beginning of the year..maybe even before then! The great thing about being able to formulate, is that you know what goes in, you have control over every aspect of the shadow and you can make any colour, shade, tone you desire. I'm a huge fan of purple and work it in with nearly every look I do. My go to purple used to be MAC's Grape pigment. It's not safe for applying on the eyes, but I used it anyway. Well, not any more because I've duped it. (I have two brand new jars of it sitting in my drawer too.. should probably sell it or something. :P )
