What an eventful past weekend! Saturday was a day full of errands and shopping. Richard and I stopped by Home Depot, Micheal's, Walmart, the dollar shop for some gardening things and we also went to shop for groceries.
We made vegan stir fried noodles with meatless beef strips, sweet peppers and mushrooms for dinner that night. Super easy but still really tasty! I have to remember to make stir fried noodles more often. Yum.
Sunday was our trip to the Toronto Zoo! More about that later, as I have about a million and a half photos documenting that day. But here's a picture of the hippo shower puff I picked up for Richard. It's so cute!
Monday sneaked up and we got together with Rich's friend and his family to cook up a meal for nearly one hundred hungry people! We served soup, caesar salad with all the fixings, rotisserie chicken, spaghetti and ended the meal with a variety of sweets including brownies, coconut lemon bars, blondies, fruit and ice cream. It was nice being able to give back a little, even if it was just volunteering my time. We had a lot of fun and everybody left with a full stomach. Win, win!
