Yay! Look what FedEx dropped off for me! After calling back and fourth and resending stretcher bars and prints with the printing company*, I finally have my canvas prints in my happy little hands. I should mention that the order was placed at the end of January. Ridiculous. But here it is, ready to be hung on the wall. There's actually two, but I only got around to stretching one of them today. It was my first time and they didn't even teach me how in art class. I'm quite happy with how the print and the stretching turned out! It's perfect. I'm proud. The colours are a bit off in the photo above, so bare with me.
This was a photo of the Grand Canyon I took a couple years ago on a trip with Rich and his friends. It was so much fun! (Yes, camping in a blizzard in the wilderness is fun!) Now I get to look at it in all it's printed glory. The second print isn't of my work, but rather by Trey Ratcliff (www.stuckincustoms.com) - an amazing artist specializing in HDR photography. Go check out his site. Your jaw will drop, just warning you! I'll post about that once I have it all stretched out and pretty. I can't wait to hang them!
* I'm not going to mention the printing company I paid to have these printed, because I wouldn't recommend them. It took them over three months to get my prints right. Waste of time. The quality is good though and it you bug them enough times, they eventually come through with extras. Like..I literally have like, 24 stretcher bars in my house and 2 sets of prints because they kept on sending them..
