Richard and I finally went to see Marvel's The Avengers last week and although I was kind of reluctant to go, I'm so glad I did! We made some vegan popcorn (Who wants to spend $15+ on a bag of sodium/chemical loaded popcorn and a sugar filled drink? $4 pack of Sour Patch Kids? Ha! We all know half the bag of popcorn is gone before the movie even starts.), used our two gift certificate and off we went. I loved it more than I thought I would and I would totally watch it again. It was super fun and entertaining!
I also loved Tom Hiddleston as Loki...hhhh. I didn't see it in Thor, but I see it clearly now. The movie has the perfect amount of humor without with super cheesy. Mark Ruffalo is perfect as The Hulk , Chris Hemsworth is a real life Thor, Robert Downey Jr. is irreplaceable as Tony Stark, Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury, Captain America is awesome and buff - though I liked his old school vintage-y get up better than the new one. Then there's Scarlet Johanson who I've never enjoyed on screen and the guy who shoots arrows. Ever since I saw this, I just couldn't see through it. I know, I know, he's just an actor. But dude, you're playing Hawk Eye. C'mon.
Okay. Regardless of the last couple of sentences, if you haven't watched The Avengers yet, go. Now. Even if you're not into super heros or comics &c. I'd suggest you go see it anyways!
P.S. It's taking me a lot longer than usual to make this post, because I keep on getting side tracked...
(yep, flippy hair and all.)
