This wasn't a dinner I planned, but I did cook it! Apparently the original plan involved greens...but after they were cooked and I had a nibble (as I often do) it became clear that those greens were nooo good! I have never tasted anything so bitter in my life and they weren't supposed to be bitter. Yuck! So those were replaced with Chinese eggplant, which I stir fried and sauced. The short ribs were marinated by mum, so I have no idea what was on them. Some sort of teriyaki, perhaps? It was delicious. I used a wok to cook em too!
I had two different types of carbs with my meal; rice and left over baguette. I like to mix things up here and there. Best thing to do with bread? Lightly smear some mayonnaise on it and toast it. So good, I think it might be better than butter (in this situation, anyways). Yep, sounds totally gross and it's totally yums. Try it!
