Family lunch with my dad's side of the family was had at a local Shanghai restaurant and it involved two large tables and lots of food! There was so much food, we were all rolling out of our seats and crying, "Please! No more!" when the other table insisted on bringing their unfinished dishes over for us to polish off. It didn't work. The food was so good, we had all gorged ourselves to the brim with zero space left in our stomachs. Not even for one more bite! My favourites had to be the turnip pastries, Shanghai noodles, fried dumplings and marinated cucumbers. Mm!
