A few weekends ago, Rich and I headed out to our local Home Depot and Petsmart to pick up a couple things including Greenies cat treats for Tank (more on that in my Smart Shopping post). While looking across the street, I spot a tent that one just could not miss. It was bright yellow and red and ginormous. This meant one thing; the circus was in town.
Neither of us would actually go and support the circus, but we decided to drive by to check it out. No, we didn't witness any animal abuse. We didn't see any wildlife crammed into boxes and cages two times too small. That isn't to say it didn't happen, but we just didn't see it. Either way I wouldn't take little ones to the circus. What Rich and I did see, were a pair of elephants pacing around in a bunch of hay, periodically eating it and a bunch of beautiful white horses in their stalls waiting to perform. We heard a bunch of dogs barking, so there were those- a few handsome dobermans on a motorcycle and a blonde woman in leather with a whip, wearing thigh high boots, beside her a "crystal" adorned pup. She was smoking a cigarette with one hand on her hip, tapping her foot on the pavement. I judged her. She looked like....a starts with an H, ends with an R with two O's in there somewhere. :(
The weather wasn't getting any better, as there were storm clouds rolling in and it was getting gloomy really fast. We called it an evening and headed home for some dinner!
