Tank's going through her balding phase right now. Soon enough, she'll look a lot like Gollum! Just in time for Halloween. The stuff on her nose is shea butter (all natural, organic, fair trade, etc. etc.), which will help her moisturize her nose. Soon enough the "velvet" will get rubbed off and a brand new, fur-less nose will appear! Sounds super gross and scary, but this happened last time so I know it's not as bad as it sounds. There's no blood involved. Promise.
As you can see, her ears have cleared up! Progress! Each night after her feeding and right before bed time, I spend about an hour helping her clear off her dead fur. It's tedious and a little disgusting but since she's wearing her cone, she can't get rid of it herself. I also don't want her going over board and scratching until she's bleeding. Oh, and I also don't want anymore black fur tumble weeds rolling around the house. My vacuum hates me right now, but I love my little Tank.
