My seedlings are well on their way and I'm super excited for this year's garden! One thing that I'm totally dreading is the prepping I have to do before I can transplant everything. Turning the soil and mixing new compost in is tough work and my back isn't going to be happy with me! But it'll be done and the plants will be happy. I can't wait for fresh from the garden veggies!

I'd like to grow kale this year as well as some other things, but I'm still waiting for the local garden centers to fill up with their seasonal goodies. There are some plants I prefer buying as seedlings and kale is one of them. I think carrots are the planting menu as well, though I've never grown them before. I've picked up some purple haze seeds this time around, so I'm super stoked for purple carrots! Cross your fingers for me, will you? :)
