Barca From Ohio, 01

In Buffalo, New York
Rich, our friend Ed and I headed off to Ohio last Friday to pick up Mr. Barca, Ed's little miniature English bulldog from the breeder! If you were following me on Instagram, you'd know this already ;) I normally don't take phone photos, but I just couldn't be bothered to take out my DSLR everytime I wanted a snap shot.

A little run down gas station. Gas and restroom stop- I knew it was going to be bad.

...and I was right. It was either pee here or wait another two hours and I wasn't about to use a puppy pad!
The drive from Toronto to Ohio took about 5 hours- we left at around 11am and arrived in Ohio just before 4:30pm. We made our way to Amish country to pick up a custom coffee table first, which was an hour away from Cleveland where we were staying, made our way to a local Walmart and Costco for food on our way back and arrived at the hotel at around 8pm. We picked up our packages from the front desk (I love ordering online from Canada and having everything sent to the hotel) and unpacked as we scarfed down pasta, salad and homemade focaccia. Then we got some much  needed sleep. ZzZzz...

Totally jealous of all that land

Pick up

The warehouse
On Saturday, everybody got up bright and early and ate our complimentary breakfast. It was puppy day and we wanted to get some shopping done before we picked up Barca at noon! Some of our stops included Bath & Body Works, Hobby Lobby and Walmart.

Meeting Barca and his brothers was such a awesome experience. The breeder Ben, was super friendly and informative. We got to meet the pups' mum and dad who were a little protective of the little ones and rightfully so- they were absolutely adorable! (More photos of the family to come.) There were 5 puppies in total, 3 of them sold and two of them available. I totally fell in love with a little white bulldog and it was hard to leave him, because I'm pretty sure he was quite fond of me as well. He gave me lots and lots of kisses! <3

Once it was time to leave the breeder and Barca got to say goodbye to his parents and siblings, we went on our way. He got to lay on my lap while we drove and I didn't mind one little bit. We made more stops along the way; CVS, Micheal's, Sephora, Lowe's and the gas station before arriving back at Best Western. We ate, played, slept- one of us didn't get much sleep, as puppy kept on whining for his momma. xo

Pretty and she knows it

Hi!
Sunday morning came faster than anticipated and after making another stop at Costco, Giant Eagle and Hobby Lobby- which was closed on Sundays, boo.. we finally headed for the boarder! Barca slept most of the way home and whined the last quarter of it. It was the cutest thing. One thing that wasn't so cute was his gas. Who knew such a little thing could be such a smelly fart bag? Two words to describe it: rotten eggs!! The windows were rolled down often to prevent us from suffocating, lol.

Saw a panda after breakfast, it must have weight at least 150lbs

3lbs of tortilla chips (<$4)  beside 500ml of salad dressing. The bag was  bigger than my pillow. Thanks Costco!

Nap time

Somebody just woke up! What a little cute thing.

Grown up bone for such a tiny bag of wrinkles

More outdoor play time while everyone else is shopping

Pooped from running around like a maniac
The boarder guy was nice, he asked us the usual questions, looked at the papers from the breeder, took a peek at Barca and let us through just like that, 3 minutes flat. Whoohoo! Keep in mind we rented a van and the last row of seats (folded under) and the truck were jammed packed with things we had purchased, including a solid wood coffee table. Unloading all of it for inspection would have been a nightmare! I'm so glad we didn't get pulled to the side.

The plushiest dog bed, ever. Kind of jealous.

SO DARN CUTE!!

We made a restroom stop and floored it home. I was exhausted and once the lights turned off, I was out. I don't think anything could have woken me up! Just take a look at the picture below. That was basically me, except I had PJs on and no collar. :P

Out like a light. No matter what we did, he wouldn't wake up!
