Rich and I finally got around to our walk near the ravine by this house. The snow had started to melt and it was a warm 4°C making it a perfect day to spend a couple hours outside. I had made myself a pair of wellie socks a few weeks back, so now I can stomp around in my rainboots in the winter time! Dry and warm feet? Yes, please.
Little critters were out building nests. This one was collecting bark, ripping and tearing at it with much vigor.
One (presumably) critter ended up bleeding and leaving bright red droplets all over the snow. Probably a raccoon or a squirrel. The blood trail, ended at the base of this tree, so I guess it's safe to assume it made it's way up.
We spotted a couple of arrows in the snow, someone had peed on them. I really hope people weren't shooting the wildlife. We aren't in The Walking Dead, there's not zombie apocalypse and you are not Daryl Dixon!
The ravine was semi-frozen, which made for some neat photos.
It's like Elsa had made her way through.
Thrashing through a snow bank and climbing my way down, I just had to get my feet into the water.
