I received an unmarked box in the mail the other day and when I opened it, it contained a package of Kleenex's Viva Vantage paper towels. At first I was confused, as I had no idea who it was from (it was sent from a distribution center) and it didn't contain a note or letter as to why I was sent it.
I kind of forgot about it for a day, until I checked my e-mail and noticed one from Influenster about reviewing Viva paper towels. Good to know!
Okay, so I made dinner and put this product to use.
Everything on the back of the package is true. Seriously, I think Bounty has met it's match. I was able to dry my counter tops (water from doing dishes) no problem. Sponge like? Check. It was tough enough to be wrung out and reused to clean up dried pasta sauce splatter from the stove. Cloth like? Check. I rinse it under water, squeezed the excess water out and opened it up again to give the stove another swipe and it was still intact! It definitely is "tough when wet".
The paper towel really does stretch!
I liked that they come in smaller "select a size" sheets, to minimize product waste. Viva towels were thick, sturdy and provided excellent absorbancy. They weren't lint-y and I wasn't one bit disappointed.
They cost about $16 for a package of 10 big rolls (880 sheets, Walmart.ca) or $7.50 (on sale, regular price $10) for a package of 6 big rolls (528 sheets, Walmart.ca) which isn't really cheap for something you end up tossing in the trash. But having said that, if they're on sale and I have a coupon I would totally buy them. We're not huge paper towel users to begin with and a roll lasts us a few weeks in the kitchen. Paired with the fact that the product really is reusable, it's worth paying a few dollars more.

The product in this post was complimentary and sent for review. All opinions are my own.
