During the month of June, I had the privilege of dining at Dragon Legend twice. Eating out two days in a row is rare for me, but eating buffet style two days in a row just never happens. Luckily Dragon Legend, a Chinese/fusion restaurant (if you couldn't tell from it's name) has good food and lots of it!
Here's a glimpse of what we ate...Leaf Salad with Salmon Sashimi and Marinated Seaweed
Assorted Sushi: California Roll, Crispy Salmon and Salmon and Avocado
Salmon and Avocado Roll
Aassortment of Sashimi: Tuna, Sweet Shrimp, Salmon
Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell, Shrimp Salad, Marinated Mushrooms, Shrimp and a lone Mussel
Snow Crab Legs, Deep Fried Oysters with Chili Salt
Hand Pulled Noodles (made fresh) served in Chicken Broth, topped with Roast Duck, Grilled Salt & Pepper Shrimp
Oxtail Sew, Chicken and Ginsing Soup, Beef Short Ribs, Fries 'cause they were calling for me.
Peking duck, Fried Oysters (these were the best things ever), Sweet and Sour Pork
Hand Pulled Noodles in Fish Broth, topped with Roast Duck, Asparagus, Grilled Squid and another Fried Oyster
Popcorn Chicken, Green Veg, Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy (lots of horseradish)
Tofu-Fa (tofu dessert, served with a ginger infused syrup), Crème Brûlée, Chinese Sugared Egg Puff (think- hollow donut)
Fresh Strawberries, Pineapple and Watermelon
Mango Ice Cream with Rainbow Sprinkles, for the ride home.
Oh man, that was a lot of food.
Everything was super fresh and while the restaurant was really busy, they still put out small portions of hot food. This is a good thing, as staff were constantly coming out with dishes straight from the kitchen to replenish the buffet. They were quick about it too.
Dragon Legend is one of the better buffets in the Greater Toronto Area and although it costs a little more per person, it's well worth it. There's a wide variety of quality food and there's something for everyone. I like that they have items that make them stand out from other buffets, like their hand pulled noodles, fried oysters, fresh oysters, peking duck, crab legs, tofu-fa and crème brûlée. Some of these items were available as a special, but they have specials quite frequently.
