The ice and snow have melted away giving way to spring growth. Rich and I took a stroll down the ravine and spotted some friendlies munching away at new grass.
There were a group of five deer and they didn't mind our company as long as we stood silent and still. I had never seen deer like this before, so you could imagine how thrilled I was to be there with a camera in hand! It was all peaceful and lovely, until a man and his dog came by, feet shuffling along the gravel filled pathway and being really obnoxious. His poor dog (a gorgeous husky mix) wasn't trained, was pulling and had to walk with his leash uncomfortably between his legs.
One deer sounded warning and they all vanished into the woods, just like that.
