The guys over at Mentos sent this over for me to try and I've been chewing it on and off for about 2 weeks now. My first thought as I set my eyes on it was that the packaging was really, really tacky. Not in a good way either (yes, there is a good kind of tacky)! I opened it up and a waft of minty bubble gum crept up my nostrils. Over the next couple of days I was able to chew a couple pieces of both and found the pink, bubble fresh flavour was really sweet, your regular bubble gum flavour with a hint of mint. The blue, sweet mint flavour was the opposite; being minty with a touch of bubble gum essence. I'm not sure if was supposed to be like that, or some of the bubble fresh transferred over.
Either way, after finishing the package (I couldn't give the last few pieces fast enough and Rich wasn't really a help and he found the flavours repulsive) I've decided that there is no way I would spend my money on this product. I'll chew it if it's free and in this case it was! The flavour faded out pretty quickly and the packaging could have been less...sofisticated. If I wanted bubble gum flavoured gum, I would buy bubble gum. Fruity gum? Trident Layers are awesome. As for mint gum, I'm not too picky. Just don't give me "midnight mint" or some other kind of licorice flavoured crap. Gross!
