I recently got my hands on a George Foreman Grill, purchased from The
Shopping Channel. I had never used one before but having a mini indoor grill at home seemed like a good idea, and it was! This machine cooks steaks
in mere minutes and makes awesome panini like sandwiches. Totally worth $50, especially when that money was free thanks to Rogers for their customer appreciation gift. :)
Another thing I love about my George Foreman Grill, is it's non-stick grilling plates. Clean up is fast and easy and doesn't require scrubbing (which my hands and nails are thrilled about!). So far I've roasted vegetables, cooked steaks, toasted sandwiches, made vegetarian burgers/chick'n fingers and frozen french fries on it and they've all taken half the time compared to using the stove an oven. I love this thing.
So for dinner, I made grilled steaks (which I cooked to well done, because I underestimated the powder and heat this grill puts out), oven roasted sweet potato fries with a side of salad. Super easy and ready to eat in 15 minutes! Dispite the doneness of the beef, it was still really tender and juicy. Oh and the fat! The fat really does drain out, just like in the commercials! :D
