Chinese soup, made with pork and a variety of vegetables |

Our main was a gigantic lobster and I'm not even exaggerating when I say that it's head was bigger than the length of a dinner plate! I kid you not. See this photo? |
He was lightly dusted with batter and fried with a tone of minced garlic. It was delicious! Probably not the best date night food though. Ha! |
Chicken and veg, super moist and tender. |
Stir fried beef slices ontop of a bed of kai-lan (aka. chinese broccoli) |
Fried rice, made with the delicious innards of the lobster's head. Yummy! |

For dessert, house made almond cookies with a bowl of hot red bean soup (not pictured).

I'm a week or so late posting this, but here it is. Mother's Day dinner with my mum and family. When we first arrived at the doors of the restaurant, I thought, "Ew, what kind of a dumpy restaurant is this!?" It looked run down and the interior decor was way dated. But you know what? It was pretty packed, which made me believe that it couldn't be that shady of a place if there were that many people eating here. I was right. The special? Fresh jumbo lobsters. They were chilling in a tank at the entrance of the place. Nearly every table there had one for dins! Now, we eat lobsters a lot at large Chinese family dinners, but none were as monstrous as the one we ate for Mother's Day. It was so, so, so good! Seriously, aside from ugly decor, the staff were friendly (which is rare for most Asian restaurants) and the food was tasty. I think I could have polished off that lobster myself, no lies. :)
