Those two photos above are of Rich's meaty vegan sandwich with (un) sausage patties. The bun was slathered in creamy hummus, topped with grilled patties, garden tomatoes and lots of lettuce. Since I made a similar sandwich for him before with sriracha (aka. Rooster sauce), it's safe to say that Rich is addicted. I am too. Yum!!
Below is my sandwich! The only differences are that instead of meat-less meat and hummus I had slices of grilled pork chop and used sriracha/mayo as a sauce. Oh, and a couple rings of onions, 'cause I like that rawness. I seriously enjoyed this lots.
Aside from tasty toppings, the level of yumminess might have something to do with the bread. You know, those delicious Vietnamese baguettes...toasted so that that it's crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside with just the right amount of chew...DROOL!!
