It was Rich's mum's birthday last week so I do what I love doing- I baked a cake! But this time it was a mini as we ate this after Thanksgiving and not only were we all stuffed, there were two pies to be had!
I had misplaced my 5 inch round spring form pan and used a Pyrex bowl in it's place! To be honest, I've never baked a bake in a bowl before. It was a first and it worked out just fine. I was afraid that it would get stuck, so I PAMed it really good and lined it with two strips of foil to help lift the cake out. Worked like a charm.
The cake was (doctored, vegan) Betty Crocker butter peacan flavour with vanilla frosting. Frosting from a can. No shame! Nevertheless, I did a quick 3am slathering of frosting and went a little crazy on the sprinkles. :)
