Wake up, prepare a cup of tea, make breakfast and lounge with Tank. An empty house, open windows, with only the sounds of song birds and the occasional car driving by, and no one shuffling about. (Individuals in this house like to put on slippers and shuffle their feet about rather than walk- such a pet peeve). The perfect morning.

I met my friend K for dinner a couple Thursday's ago and we decided on Korean food to curb our cravings. It was kind of chilly, and a little rainy so heading to SongCook's was the perfect decision. We got there at around 7pm and could already tell they were understaffed, as we had to wait to be greeted by a host, followed more waiting before we were even seated.

We've established that Tank's PF (feline pemphigus foliaceus), is triggered by seasonal changes. From winter to spring and from summer to autumn is when it flares up. I mentioned in my post a little over a week ago that her's had been triggered and that it had started on the delicate tips of her ears. It's super stressful knowing how bad it can get.

Would you look at that creaminess?! Out of all the gelato and ice cream recipes I've been experimenting with, this one had the best texture. Super smooth and delicious. Scooping it was a dream and eating it was pretty much guilt free!

Tank's pemphigus foliaceus (auto-immune disorder of the skin/hair follicles) has started to flare up. It began last week. Ugh, I was hoping so much that her body would somehow ignore the seasonal changes and just be normal. It has started on her ears, so we're back to the cleaning and medicating two times a day regimen usually followed by the dreaded e-collar for a couple hours. Hopefully the topical medication will keep things under control and we won't have to visit the vet to get a Rx and more tests!

My family and I don't really celebrate either one, but for the sake of freeing up some freezer space in the chest freezer, we decided that I'd make a turkey dinner. The bird had been sitting frozen since Thanksgiving! I reluctantly agreed, 'cause no one else would and it was delicious.

A couple weeks ago, I started the process of starting little seedlings. The weather is still indecisive, being 10C one day and then -10 the next, so I'm starting them inside. I have a variety of seeds that I've been hoarding, probably for too long and so I decided to use those. Whatever germinates and grows, I'll raise and if they're duds, oh well!
