Have you seen the commercials for Maggi So Juicy seasoning packets? You basically bake food in a plastic bag with seasonings sprinkled inside along side the meat and an hour or so later, dinner is served. I was always taught that heating food in plastic is a huge no-no, so this concept kind of erked me. Apparently this plastic bag is made to be heated safely up to a certain temperature and I happened to stumble upon a good deal for them, so I gave it a go.

I use a decent amount of hairspray and sometimes volumizing sprays to give my hair that extra oomph and leave in conditioners to keep the ends manageable and silky. Overtime, my hair gets a little sad from product build up and as a result, deflates. A couple days ago, BuzzAgent mailed me a box of Herbal Essences' new Naked products that focus on adding volume to hair to try out. Perfect timing!

One of my favourite cakes is a lemon poppy seed cake. I also like lemon poppy seed muffins, pancakes, cookies, you name it- as long as it's got a nice zing to it, I will enjoy it. A couple weeks ago, I made this poppy seed loaf, which I then topped with a deliciously sweet and tangy glaze made with fresh lemon juice and confectioner's sugar. The cake was dense, moist and lemon-y, making it extra perfect for eating with a cup of black tea!

Little Miss still has her disk on. I think that by the coming weekend I'll set her free from the cone of shame, so she can trot around the house like she use to. Having to navigate the house for about two months with it buttoned around her neck, I'd say Tank's gotten the hang of it now. It's hard to snuggle though; especially when she wants to sleep nose to nose, as in WE NEED TO SHARE THE SAME BREATH. Kind of gross, right?

This is a galette. To me it is the best kind of pie to make, especially if you get lazy like me but want homemade goodies. As long has you have a crust and some kind of filling, you're good to go! No fancy pie crimping skills are needed, heck you don't even need to use fresh fruit. Canned will do or be like me and use whatever was left in the fridge. In my case, a handful of sad looking blueberries and a few totally not recommended for baking apples, aka. Red Delicious.

Tank is 99.9%! Her skin's cleared up and her fur is eagerly growing back. She's now eating and drinking on her own, which means I no long have to feed her by hand and aside from her trying to clean her self, cone on her head and all, she's back to her good old self.
